The receiver is truly the “backbone” of the Safeguard Supply ERA series system. The receiver features a “C” relay to wire any normally open N/O or normally closed N/C device to the receiver. This allows you to integrate the device into a variety of other products.
The receiver also features (4) 12V DC outputs to add your favorite accessories. Do you need the chime sound to be louder? Easy, hook an external speaker to the live 12VDC output. Need a visual indicator? No problem, wire an external strobe light to the live output. The C relays and dc output can be activated for 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 1 minute, or 2 minutes.

Everything works as advertised. I was sceptical that the signal would travel though our warehouse and through concrete block walls, but it did. 1 receiver is 400 feet away and it works fine. Service was good - it shipped right away and I was informed all along the way.

Business Door Chime( Rc 13 S ) For Open Doors With Remote Chime
The alarm works fine and has exceptional range which is what I needed most. The only drawback are the instructions. I still haven't figured out how to change the melody. The default is OK. Also, the volume is too low even in the high setting.
The melody is set to a zone. If your ERA-DSTX driveway sensor is programmed to zone one, then the melody you need to change is for zone one.
1) hold the 'zone' (located on the side of the receiver) button for approximately 3-5 seconds until you hear a tone sound, then stop pressing the button. The red LED for zone 1 should be blinking and the other 3 zone LEDs should be solid red.

2) If you want to change the melody for zone one, go to the next step. If you are changing the melody for another zone, press the zone button until the red LED for that zone is blinking.
4) Hold down the 'zone' button until you hear a quick tone sound (3-5 seconds). After you hear the tone, you have the existing programming mode, and non of the red LEDs should be illuminated.
After dealing with another door sensor that did not work as expected we found this for our business. What a game changer! Very consistent and much better than what we had before! Very happy!

We have this about 1/4 mile from home and it works good. My only frustration is that there's no volume **** on the receiver. It has four volume choices and we have it on the lowest, but it's still plenty loud. I had to placed the receiver in a location where it's not so disturbing, as sometimes we have a lot of turkeys and deer that cross its detection.
I am sorry the lowest volume setting is still too loud. At the lowest volume setting, the ERA-DCRX produces sound at about 45-55 dBA (depending on the melody selected and at 5 ft. from the receiver). If the volume level at the lowest setting were much lower, I'm afraid many people would not be able to hear it all. For example, the noise in our warehouse is approximately 40 dBA. A 5-15 dBA sound above the baseline would be hard to hear for most people.

If you push the volume a fifth time, it will mute the receiver, but without a strobe or something like that hooked to it, you would not receive notifications.
